Description

The small municipality of Muggendorf has a lot to offer, a quiet, secluded landscape and numerous natural hiking trails make the village a real excursion and recreation area. The highlight is the wild and romantic Myra Falls with their world of hiking and white water. Numerous bridges and steps along the waterfalls allow you to experience nature up close.

In addition to the Myra Falls, there are even more sights and numerous excursion destinations in Muggendorf such as the Hausstein, Kalkofen, the Totenleuchte, the Hirschwände, the Steinwandklamm gorge, a forest nature trail, the Kieneck, Traffel and Almesbrunn. You can explore this area on around 40 km of hiking trails. You can stop for refreshments at the mountain huts and inns.

In winter, the natural snow ski area on the Unterberg is well worth a visit. There are 6 drag lifts across 8 pistes or in the fun park. There is a children's slope with a magic carpet for the little ones. Skiing and snowboarding on 100% natural snow is a real experience, with a downhill run through the Heurissklamm gorge right to the parking lot.

Whether in winter or summer, Muggendorf has a lot more to offer than you might think at first glance.
