St. Veit an der Gölsen
Description
St. Veit an der Gölsen is the ideal location for a summer retreat or a sporty active vacation with excursions and hikes. The municipality is located directly on the Via Sacra between the Vienna Woods and the foothills of the Alps (369 to 1,399 m above sea level).
Particularly worth seeing in St. Veit are the historically significant market, the castle site on the St. Veiter Staff (from the 12th century), the Gothic parish church as the "Cathedral of the Gölsental", as well as the pilgrimage station on the "Via Sacra" to Mariazell.
