Description
The cozy Hotel Zum Kirchenwirt is just a stone's throw from the basilica in Mariazell. The house was a linen weaving mill under Andreas Fladl in 1673. As early as 1700, Jakob Fladl, linen weaver and host, received permission to rent out rooms and for pilgrims for the first time. As a result, the house has been an accommodation establishment ever since. The statue of the Virgin Mary at reception, which was blessed in the basilica, also dates back to this time.
In the cozy restaurant, the team serves Styrian specialties, Austrian classics and seasonal highlights - freshly prepared with great attention to detail and using regional ingredients.
The terrace offers a beautiful view of the basilica. The hotel offers 28 rooms and two junior suites, some with large balconies. You can loosen up those tired cyclists' calves in the sauna and enjoy the view of the impressive mountain panorama.
Bicycles can be safely stored in the lockable bike room, and the showers there are ideal for a quick refreshment. For those who want to get on the saddle early, breakfast is also served before 7.30 a.m. on request.
TIP: The Kirchenwirt is located directly on the Traisental cycle route, making it the ideal starting point or destination for cyclists. After an impressive tour through the Mostviertel, the cozy hotel is the perfect place to arrive, relax and recharge your batteries.
