Pielachtal Pilgrimage Trail: overall route, stages and map
Maps, stages, altitude profiles
This is the route of the Pielachtal Pilgrimage Trail
The 80 kilometre long trail is well signposted and leads in three to four day stages from St. Pölten through the Pielach Valley to Mariazell Basilica. The first part of the trail is easy to walk, only in the last third from Schwarzenbach does it become somewhat steeper. At Annaberg it meets the Via Sacra coming from Vienna.
The following stage divisions have proven to be particularly recommendable. Details of the individual stages (incl. map and elevation profile) can be found at the end of the article.
