Pfarrkirche 'Hl. Jakobus dem Älteren'
Description
The three-aisled church is characterized by its richly decorated ribbed vault, which is supported by four octagonal pillars and belongs to the late Gothic period. The oldest part of the church is the one-bay choir together with the massive tower, the roof of which was renewed after a fire in 1816. At the beginning of the 20th century, the church was given neo-Gothic altars, which were replaced by new ones in 1954/55. The statues of the former high altar are now located above the passageway to the right side altar. During the last comprehensive renovation inside and out in 1996/97, a folk altar by local sculptor Johann Bühringer was installed.
