Pfarrkirche und Pfarrhof Josefsberg
Church
Description
A rare testimony to everyday life around 200 years ago can be found in the dining room of the Josefsberg vicarage. Father Chrystostomos Sandweger painted the work and life of the lumberjacks from the Ötscher region on the walls of the vicarage around 1830. The parish of Josefsberg is inextricably linked to the people of this area. The woodcutters' drawings are brought to life by the intense stories told during a guided tour.
Tip:
Combine your visit to the parish church and vicarage with a stop at the Ötscher-Basis Wienerbruck with its restaurant and lakeside terrace.
