Pfarrkirche Perchtoldsdorf

Church

Description

The parish church dedicated to St. Augustine was originally built from the chapel of Perchtoldsdorf Castle. It was elevated to parish church status by the Bishop of Passau in 1217. The model for the new Gothic building as a three-aisled hall church from 1370 was St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna.
